Becky and Dave Nelson Healthcare Career Scholarship
Purpose: To identify and retain outstanding Vermillion area high school seniors dedicated to furthering their education in a health related occupation. This scholarship is in honor of retired Chief Operating Officer of Sanford Health, Becky Nelson and her husband for her commitment and years of service to healthcare and Sanford Health.
Award: A minimum of two scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors who plan to attend the University of South Dakota, Vermillion and pursue a course of study in a healthcare profession.

Purpose: Dakota Hospital Foundation has developed a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who are planning to pursue post-secondary education in a two- or four-year college, university or vocational technical program.

Patrick & Theresa Wingen Family Vocational School Scholarship
Purpose: To identify and retain outstanding Vermillion area high school seniors dedicated to furthering their education in a health related occupation. This scholarship is in honor of Patrick and Theresa Wingen for their commitment to healthcare occupations achieved through attending a Vocational Technical institution.
Award: A minimum of one scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend an area Vocational Technical Institution and pursue a course of study in a healthcare profession.
