Visual artist Ari Albright, MFA, has been the coordinator for Sanford Arts Vermillion at Sanford Vermillion Medical Center since 2013. The arts program, designed specifically for hands-on experiences for the Care Center and Special Care Unit residents, began through the generous funding of the Dakota Hospital Foundation. By 2018, Albright, with the University of South Dakota’s College of Fine Arts, developed an Arts in Health Certificate program to train future professionals. Her company, Creative Care, LLC, was established in 2019 to expand arts programming in our region. The mission of Creative Care, LLC is to create meaningful, hands-on art projects for the community and healthcare settings with people of all ages and abilities.
