Missouri Valley Growth (MVG) project: pickleball/tennis courts
“Dedicated to health and wellness, Dakota Hospital Foundation (DHF) is pleased to provide a financial donation of $5,000 to Missouri Valley Growth toward the establishment of pickleball/tennis courts in the Vermillion community,” Lana Svien, DHF board member.

"Pickleball is an actively expanding sport in the Vermillion community.  We are so happy about the partnership between Missouri Valley Growth and the City of Vermillion to help restore outdoor courts making this activity more accessible for all Vermillion community members.  This support from the Dakota Hospital Foundation will be valuable in helping this project become a reality for our community," Nick Oyen, MVG board member.

Vermillion Fire & EMS / EMS Division project: Operation Breath Save
“DHF Innovation committee loves when we get grants that help support entities like the Vermillion Fire Department and EMS who provide lifesaving services to our community.  Helping to purchase a new ventilator to safely transport patients to receive further medical attention falls directly under our mission to help make Vermillion a Healthy Hometown,” Kelly Herbster, DHF board member.

“Rural healthcare presents many challenges from medical professional access to follow up specialty care. Thanks to the Dakota Hospital Foundation’s grant, we can expand our capabilities to provide a higher level of care to our community and neighboring jurisdictions. We will be able to get the sickest patients to the specialists they need. These monies strengthen our healthcare system and take care of our citizens,” Tony Klunder, division chief of EMS and special operations.
