The Dakota Hospital Foundation is honored to announce the establishment of the Brady Companies, Larry and Sean Brady Endowed Scholarship. This newly created scholarship reflects a strong commitment to education, opportunity, and investing in the future of our communities.

Through the generosity of Larry and Sean Brady, this endowed scholarship will provide ongoing support to students pursuing their educational and career goals. The scholarship was created to help encourage and empower future leaders while continuing a tradition of community investment and service.

The Dakota Hospital Foundation is grateful for partnerships and gifts that strengthen opportunities for students and support our mission of community health and wellness. Endowed scholarships create a lasting impact by helping future generations achieve their goals for years to come.

Dakota Hospital Foundation’s Employee Idea Challenge

Since its beginning in 1930, Dakota Hospital Foundation (DHF) has fulfilled a mission of improving the health of the communities and individuals in our area. DHF is a not-for-profit b501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is “Dedicated to Community Health and Wellness.” In 1989 DHF partnered with Sanford Health Network through a lease agreement for the facilities. Today as a strong and vital part of the community, DHF and Sanford Vermillion Medical Center (SVMC) continue to search for new and innovative ways to serve our citizens, hence our request for proposals from those who work with our with our patients, residents, visitors and staff – Sanford Vermillion Medical Center employees. Only projects with a total cost between $2,500 and $15,000 will be accepted.

Submissions will further DHF’s community health mission. Projects must meet one of the following criteria:

Foster and Enhance Clinical Innovation. Development of new and unique programs and services.
Support Quality of Life. Enhance quality of life for our residents, patients, visitors and staff.
Build Relationships. Enhance existing or develop new relationships which further support DHF’s mission.

DHF Investment brings DEXA machine back to Sanford Vermillion

Dakota Hospital Foundation is proud to announce the purchase of a new DEXA machine for Sanford Vermillion Medical Center, restoring an important diagnostic service to our local community.

This investment reflects DHF’s ongoing commitment to supporting quality health care close to home and ensuring patients have access to advanced technology without the need to travel outside the area.

DEXA machines are the gold standard for measuring bone density and play a critical role in detecting osteoporosis and assessing fracture risk. With this addition, patients will have access to this essential test right here in Vermillion.

Through the generosity of donors and community support, Dakota Hospital Foundation continues to invest in equipment and services that make a meaningful difference for patients, families, and the entire region.
